Do you offer family studio photo sessions and outdoors?

Yes, we do offer photo sessions in our family-operated studio located in Vaughan and on location as well.

What are the best locations for a family shoot in Vaughan or Toronto?

A park is always a great location. It offers a simple colourful background that helps your family photos to stand out. Trees are very helpful for a natural shade that is flattering for portraits.  Any architectural natural backgrounds like your home, your backyard, the street in front of your home are nice for family portraits. We love to shoot at Downtown or Toronto or close to Ontario Lake.

How much does a family photo session cost?

We do offer different packages from $299 to $600 for studio photography.

Do you charge extra fees for a family photoshoot on location?

Yes, we do. We charge $100 for travelling and set-up fees.

What is the minimum package for a photoshoot on location?

The minimum package is 1 Hr for outdoor photo sessions.

How much time should we schedule for our family photoshoot?

The answer depends on the family members and your budget or goal. One hour photoshoot is great for a family of up to six members. One and a half-hour photoshoot is suggested for more than six family members. The kids and babies might handle a short photoshoot for 45 minutes, and you have free access to all our props to make the kids busy and let them enjoy the game.  The kids are very active at the beginning of the photoshoot that’s why we like to keep the end of the session reserved for candid and unposed photos.  So the average session lasts between 1-1.5 hours.

What should we wear to a family shoot?

We suggest getting a little dressed up for a photo session. For men, this means a button-down or collared shirt, hair and nails done. For women, hair, make-up and nails are done. For kids – avoid bold patterns, writing on shirts and make sure the clothes fit well. At the same time, the kids are always cute no matter what they are wearing. Please see below the detailed description relevant to what to wear and how to match the colours.

Are the final photos that we select for printing retouched?

All photos selected will be retouched by hand, colour corrected and of the highest available resolution.

How many images can we expect?

The number of images depends on the selected package and your cooperation only. You own all captured images. We deliver more than 80 images per hour of work.

When will we see our photos?

The images are available for preview in real-time when we shoot at the studio.

Would you edit all images?

Yes, we will edit all delivered images. The editing includes brightening or darkening the photo, proper crop and minor skin smoothing.

Will you retouch the images selected for printing?

Yes, all the printed images will be extra retouched to perfection.

What is the difference between edited and retouched images?

The edited images come cropped with minor skin smoothing, colour and light adjustment if necessary.

The retouched images process: removing the wrinkles, teeth whitening, removing the spots on the skin, or body sculpturing (simmering), removing the hot spots on the eyeglasses as an example.

What if my kid is not behaving? 

Please try to do your best before the photoshoot. You know much better what your kids love. Please bring some toys or accessories that they love. The photo sessions is all about a family fan. You don’t want to enforce the kids. We always trying to get the posed pictures done first and the candid photos by the end of the session. We are dealing with newborns, babies and kids daily and you will be impressed by the shots from your photo session. So don’t worry about your kids, We will take care of everything together.

What happens if it rains or one of the family members can’t make it?

Please give us a call and we will reschedule accordingly. The alternative is studio photography if the weather is not cooperating.

Who will be the photographer at our family session?

We are husband and wife and we will be working together during the photo shoot.

Elina and Gregory are main and only photographers for all photo sessions. Elina does all the editing, retouching, album design and contact with clients. Gregory does the final retouching of the selected images for print.  That’s what makes GSR Studio Inc photography such a unique photography studio. We offer very personalized service and attention to all my clients. While other photographers might hire someone to edit their photos. We like to have full control over every photo session to make sure that the customer is getting the highest quality of work for all our clients. Our goal is your full satisfaction!

What should we do with our digital files?

You will be able to print any image from 4×6 inch to a poster size posters. We can assist you with the suggestion of the photo lab. You are welcome to print with our studio.The different sizes of the albums are available for you at very attractive prices. You can share the images with your friends via any social media.

What photo lab do you recommend in GTA?

All the photos are colour corrected and edited. Any photo lab like Costco will work.

Do you offer family portraits outside of Toronto?

Yes, we would love to explore new locations.

What payments do you accept?

We do prefer cash, debit and e-transfer.

Do we have to pay HST?

HST should be added to all our prices.

Do we have to pay the deposit to secure the spot?

To confirm the booking, clients are required to pay a $100 deposit upon reserving GSR Studio Inc Services. The $100 deposit is not an extra fee. The deposit will be deducted from the total service fee, the remainder of the service fee must be paid upon service completion and the total payment will be $100 less. Please e-transfer $100 to gsrstudio@gmail.com upon reserving the photoshoot. You may reschedule the booking in advance ( at least 24 Hrs before the scheduled time of the photoshoot. The deposit is not refundable and you can use the retainer for any of our services.

Can you provide the consultation before the photoshoot?

Yes, we can. Please give a call to Elina and she will be glad to assist you.

What backdrops are available in the studio?

The studio offers black, grey, white, textured, beige, brown, Christmas etc and multiple themed backdrops for kids and cake smash photography.  We will assist you to pick-up the proper colours of the background based on your colour skins and the attire.

Can we get a sneak pic photo on the day of the photoshoot?

Yes, you can. We will send a couple of images of your choice.

Can you print 4×6 inch or 5×7 inch on spot?

Yes, we can. The cost of a 4×6 inch is $20 and the 5×7 inch is $25. We print on laminated high-quality studio paper.

Do you offer special prices for returning customers?

Yes, we do. We are offering $100 credit toward the prints.

Does the company policy support any referrals?

Yes, it does. We do offer $100  print credit as well.

What to expect after your Photo Session?

The images will be delivered to you in 3-5 business days via Google drive.

It might take more days if we are overloaded.

Please download the images and save on USB or external hard drive.

How long the link to the images will be valid?

The link will be valid for 2 weeks and we have a back-up of all our work for the last 25 years.

How long it takes to get the ordered prints?

The prints are available for pick-up in a week after receiving your favourite images.

The shipping cost of the expedited service is $25 for prints up to 8×10 inches. We use only this way of shipping as the most reliable and safe service.

We have tried another service and the prints were damaged or lost.
