COVID 19 Photography Guidelines for Studio Services

We are very happy to inform you that within the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and we remain open to serve you during these unusual and stressful times!

We will continue to implement all health and safety regulations that have been put into place since reopening in June. As a reminder, please wear a mask or face covering at all times while in the office as well as adhering to your scheduled appointment time. If you are running early or late for your appointment, please contact our office to ensure we can allow for this change in the schedule. We appreciate your continued help in following these guidelines!

The studio is meeting all requirements according to the health and safety recommendations by WHO (Health Organization).

Employees & Guidelines for Studio Photographers

Studio owners provided training and educational materials available through the WHO website on proper sanitation, hand washing, cough and sneeze etiquette, use of PPE, and other protective methods. The Studio and office rooms or other areas of the studio should be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before and after each customer visit.

Social distancing / No touch practise for most of the photography photo sessions

Photographers should maintain social distancing, using no-touch posing methods when at all possible (the photographer should wear the mask and gloves or sanitize the hands prior to newborn photography sessions). Until further notice is received from the WHO, the maximum gathering for a photoshoot in studio of 10 persons  should be observed.

All photo sessions should be conducted By appointment only

We do work by appointment only, allowing sufficient time to sanitize photographic equipment and common areas after each client session. Only one photoshoot should be allowed in the studio at any given time.

Temperature checks and screening questions

Temperature checks should be conducted for each photographic client (including each member of the family present) prior to each session. The photoshoot should be rescheduled if the temperature one of the participants exceeding 100.4 degrees F.

The following Screening questions will be forwarded to you prior to the photoshoot and must be answered by the customer prior to the photoshoot :

  • How are you feeling today?
  • Have you had a cough or any flu-like or COVID symptoms in the last 14 days?
  • Have you been around anyone exhibiting these symptoms with the last 14 days?
  • Do you leave with anyone who is sick or quarantined?
  • Please reschedule the photoshoot if the answer is “Yes” to any above mentioned questions.

The sanitation protocols in GSR Studio Inc

Standard sanitation protocols prior to each client should include but not be limited to:

    • Washing hands by photographer and assistants regularly before and after photographic sessions
    • The studio owners should Sanitize all props, chairs, dresses, benches with which a client may come into contact. We use double  UV sanitizing for all props, dresses and accessories before and after use.
    • The sanitation of restroom/dressing facilities, office and entering the studio areas should be conducted after each customer’s visit.
    • The shooting area Air consistently  cleaned by  True  Double HEPA Filter Air Purifier for Homes, Large Rooms | UV-C Light Kills Germs | Filters Allergens, Smoke, Dust, Dander, Pollen & Odours
    • The True HEPA air filter reduces up to 99.97% of harmful dust, pollen, pet dander, mould spores, and other allergens as small as .3 microns from the air in the studio.
    • KILLS GERMS – UV-C light helps kill airborne viruses such as influenza, staph, rhinovirus, and works with Titanium Dioxide to reduce volatile organic compounds
    • TRAPS ALLERGENS – Pre-filter traps dust, pet hair, and other large particles while extending the life of the HEPA filter
    • REDUCES ODOURS – Activated charcoal filter helps reduce unwanted odours. 
    • The studio manager should control the sanitation of common areas, including doorknobs (interior and exterior), countertops, pens and pencils, tablets and monitors.
    • All, not necessary equipment should be removed from the active customer’s areas.
    • The debit and credit terminals should not be used: e-transfer should be considered as primary methods of payment.
